| Hester hype continues in Chicago: Brandon Marshall was the first Bears player to tout Devin Hester as a potential "Pro Bowl receiver." Now Jay Cutler is joining in. The Bears quarterback said after a late-May team OTA workout that Hester is well on his way to being a contributor to the offense in 2012. "Devin Hester is having the best camp of all the receivers," he said. (Updated 05/24/2012) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Hester is expected to play on a limited basis on offense, but still be a candidate for two or three catches per game. The belief is that Brandon Marshall will attract enough coverage from opposing defenses that the Bears can get Hester open in space or on deep routes. That sounds great but in four seasons as a receiver Hester has never been broken out and become a huge stat contributor. He has season-highs of 57 catches, 757 yards and four touchdowns (the catches and yardage highs came in 2009, the touchdown high came in 2010). It's going to be tough for him to be a generous stat producer for Fantasy, especially playing opposite Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. We'd take Hester with a middle-to-late pick in leagues that reward special-teams yardage (he'll still return punts) but wouldn't touch him otherwise in standard formats. (Updated 05/24/2012). |
