Fells passes 'Klop' on depth chart: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Daniel Fells has passed Joe Klopfenstein on the Rams' TE depth chart and seems like a suitable No. 2 tight end for the team behind starter Randy McMichael. Fells has been making quality catches in practice. "He's very athletic, been making a lot of plays," coach Steve Spagnuolo said. "We don't know the blocking part yet, because we don't have the pads on. But I'm very pleased."

Fantasy Analysis

All right, we're talking about No. 2 tight ends here, but if Fells can keep impressing his coaches, he'll have a shot at some playing time. Fells has some decent size to him but has only seven career catches. That total should rise early in 2009 if he keeps up the good work. Don't aim for him with a draft pick, but if McMichael stumbles or misses playing time, Fells might fill in for a week or two. As for Klopfenstein, continue to keep him off of rosters.
