OL Tony Moll never fulfilled a wish of playing every spot on the offensive line with the Packers. They traded the versatile fourth-year player to the Baltimore Ravens on cutdown day for defensive back Derrick Martin. Moll started a total of 18 games at right guard and right tackle his first three seasons. His primary spot in the preseason this year was backing up Chad Clifton at left tackle, and Moll also played some at left guard. That left center as the only position he didn't play in his stint with Green Bay. "I actually pulled (offensive line coach James) Campen aside and jokingly said, ???Hey, when it comes to the season and we're up a couple of touchdowns, I just want one snap (at center). That way I can say I played every position,'" Moll said during training camp. The arrival of the 5-foot-10, 200-pound Martin, a fourth-year player who can play both safety and cornerback and is a demon on special teams, made Anthony Smith expendable. The Packers cut Smith, whom they had signed in the offseason as a restricted free agent, after the former Pittsburgh Steeler played well in the preseason. 99//2009
