| Sproles catches playoff record: New Orleans RB Darren Sproles tallied 15 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown during the Saints' 36-32 loss to San Francisco in their NFC Divisional Playoff game on Saturday. Sproles' impressive catch total established an NFL playoff record as he collected 19 targets from QB Drew Brees. Sproles also had a 44-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter to give New Orleans its first lead of the game. (Updated 01/14/2012) |

| Like many of the Saints' running backs, Sproles managed little on the ground and finished with 3 yards on three carries against the 49ers' top-ranked defense. Sproles was a dynamic fixture in New Orleans' offense during the regular season and was among the league leaders with 86 receptions for 710 yards and seven touchdowns -- as a running back. Fantasy owners should consider Sproles with an early-round selection in 2012 drafts as the 28-year-old could come close to duplicating his production from this season. (Updated 01/14/2012). |
