Jacob Tamme caught six passes off of 10 targets for 61 yards in Sunday's loss to the 49ers.
Tamme has now been targeted 22 times over the past two weeks, totaling 16 catches. After averaging three catches for 35 yards in the season's first three games, Tamme has averaged six catches for 65 yards in Atlanta's past five contests. Tamme now ranks second or third on the team in every major receiving category. He's a consistent fantasy performer, especially in PPR leagues, but his lack of scores prevents him from being a top-tier option.
Jacob Tamme reeled in 10 passes off of 12 targets for 103 yards and a score in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Tamme ran an intermediate out, caught the ball and traffic and landed in the end zone for his first score as a Falcon in the third quarter. Known best as Peyton Manning's securing blanket for most of his career, Tamme topped 100 yards on Sunday for the first time since Week 9 of the 2010 season. The performance didn't necessarily come out of nowhere as Tamme posted a eight-catch game in Week 5 during which he accumulated 94 yards and had a four-catch game in Week 2 where he totaled 77 yards. Tamme is a name worth monitoring in the free agency pool, especially if he finds the end zone a few more times.
Jacob Tamme caught three balls for 36 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.
Tamme was targeted six times on the day, good for second most on his team behind Julio Jones, who saw a whopping 17 targets. Although the targets are nice, Tamme has yet to find the endzone this season, and that hinders his fantasy value.
Tight end Jacob Tamme (concussion) led the Atlanta Falcons with eight catches for 94 yards on 10 targets Sunday against the Redskins.
The veteran tight end was heavily involved in the game plan alongside Julio Jones while secondary receivers Leonard Hankerson and Roddy White were marginalized. It's tough to see this level of volume as the beginning of a trend rather than a one-week quirk considering Tamme's unimpressive numbers coming into this contest.
Jacob Tamme (concussion) is active Sunday against Washington.
Tamme was unable to play last week due to the head injury, but he cleared through concussion protocol and practiced fully this past week. Despite the active status, Julio Jones and Leonard Hankerson are still likely to dominate the targets from quarterback Matt Ryan, even with Jones battling a hamstring injury.
