| Wendling reportedly still a Lion: As reported on Wednesday, Detroit will sign S John Wendling to a three-year, $2.75 million dollar contract, the Detroit News reports. Wendling featured at safety late in 2010 when injuries decimated the secondary. His true worth is on special teams, where he turned in a performance last season worthy of Pro Bowl alternate status. | Wendling made an impact enough last season with the Lions to warrant a new contract, though it doesn't guarantee a bigger impact. He has just one career interesting to go along with 79 tackles in his four-year career, so he doesn't warrant much Fantasy value in IDP formats until he makes a bigger impact on the field.
