| Bartell says he's out for the season: Rams DB Ron Bartell, who suffered a fractured bone in his lower neck, confirmed to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he is out for the season. "My goal is to play again," Bartell said. "I'm fully prepared to play again. I'm approaching it as such that I will play again. There's absolutely no way I could come back and play this year. It takes time just for the bone to heal." Justin King is now expected to move into the starting lineup to replace Bartell. (Updated 09/13/2011) |

| It was a disappointing Week 1 for the Rams. Not only did they lose Bartell, but RB Steven Jackson, QB Sam Bradford and WR Danny Amendola in a loss to the Eagles. Luckily, most of the defense is still in tact, but losing a veteran like Bartell could hurt in the long run. Bartell didn't have much value in Fantasy IDP leagues. The Rams DST remains a No. 2 Fantasy option heading into Week 2 against the Giants. (Updated 09/13/2011). |
