Atari broken, out for year: The Green Bay Packers have placed safety Atari Bigby on injured reserve, sidelining him for the final two games of what has been a disappointing season. Bigby, a former practice squad player who became one of the team's most pleasant surprises last season, has been slowed by injuries for most of 2008 and has played in only seven games. His most recent injury is to his shoulder. The Packers signed DT Anthony Toribio to take Bibgy's spot on the active roster and signed FB Russ Weil to their practice squad.

S Atari Bigby said his left ankle is fine after he limped at every plant and turn in 2008. He expects to be full speed when training camp begins next month. Bigby played in only seven games, getting 31 tackles and one interception, and was benched on multiple occasions before the Packers placed him on injured reserve Dec. 18. 63//2009
