Sweed to get shot at No. 3 job: The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians identified second-year WR Limas Sweed as a candidate to replace WR Nate Washington in the Steelers' receiving rotation. Between the regular season and postseason, Sweed had 84 yards receiving. "Limas has the ability to do it. He just has to continue to grow and be consistent," Arians said. "He's shown the ability to get behind people and that was the No. 1 thing Nate gave us, the ability to stretch coverage."

Fantasy Analysis

Sweed has immense size (6-foot-4) and good speed and should eventually evolve into a nice NFL receiver. He just needs to put it all together. He's probably not going to make a major dent in 2009 but could develop into a phenom by 2010, his third NFL season. As such, Sweed is a guy worth a look in dynasty/keeper leagues with a late-round pick. Owners in seasonal formats can get away with passing on him and hope to grab him off the waiver wire if he takes off.
