Hall (knee) restructured his contract for the upcoming season and will now make a base salary of $2.3M instead of $4.25M, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.

Hall, who continues to rehab from a torn ACL suffered in Week 3 of the 2016 season, will be entering his 14th year in the league. Hall said that he could have gotten a decent payday by going into the broadcasting field, but he still has passion for the game and wants to get back on the field while he physically can.

Hall (knee) is not sure if he will be able to participate when training camp opens on July 27, Rich Tandler of CSNMidAtlantic reports.

Hall and the team just successfully completed a revised contract in order to reflect the amount of time he has missed in recent seasons. The veteran missed just three games in his first six seasons with the Redskins before missing 31 total over his last three. He has agreed to lower his $4.25 million base salary for this season down to $2.3 million. He has been sidelined since tearing his ACL in Week 3 of last season and could potentially be in danger of starting the season on the PUP list.

Hall (knee) remains without a specific target date in terms of a potential return, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Hall may need to start the season on the PUP list as he continues to recover from a torn ACL, which he suffered in Week 3 of the 2016 season. The team added insurance at safety in case Hall doesn't work out, signing D.J. Swearinger and moving Su'a Cravens to safety as well. Getting back to full health will be step No. 1 for Hall, but the 33-year-old still needs to prove he can play at a high level upon his eventual return.

Hall (knee) has expressed desire to return to Washington next season, Jake Kring-Schreifels of the team's official site reports.

Hall said of the situation, "I would love to return to [play next year]. I think there's still a lot of plays out there I can make...We'll see, but I'm definitely trying to get back out there and play. I feel I can help us win games, I feel like I can make plays. We'll see though." The veteran safety tore his ACL during Week 3's win over the Giants and hasn't played a full season the past three years with Washington. It has been reported that the 33-year-old is ahead of schedule in the rehabbing process, but still has a ways to go to return to full health. Hall also noted he is open to restructuring the final year of his contract in order to give the team more cap space. Look for more updates on his situation to come throughout the offseason.

Hall is out for the rest of Sunday's game with a sprained knee, Mark Ortega of NFL.com reports.

Hall suffered the injury right before halftime and it was determined that he would be unable to return for the second half. It wouldn't be surprising to see him miss some additional time as well. If Hall is forced take an extended absence, expect his role to be filled by Will Blackmon.
