Forte remains out: The Chicago Tribune reports Bears RB Matt Forte continues to sit out with a hamstring injury, as expected during Wednesday's OTA workouts. The paper reports Forte is unlikely to practice this week. Kevin Jones is taking the first team reps.

Fantasy Analysis

We'd like to hear that Forte is OK at this point, but he really just needs to be 100 percent for the start of training camp. He still remains a No. 1 Fantasy option and a first-round pick in all formats as long as the hamstring injury heals in time. It sounds more like Jones is looking better this season than last year and is worth drafting with a late-round pick as a handcuff option for Forte.

Jones should be an effective alternative in short-yardage situations after a subpar 2008 season during which he did not appear to be all the way back from late 2007 knee surgery.
