Report: 'Nobody knows' Chris Snee's status
by Larry Hartstein |

Chris Snee is penciled in as the Giants' starting right guard. But The Star-Ledger reports "nobody knows for sure what his status will be" after going through contact drills at training camp.

Snee has two surgically repaired hips and "an even more troublesome elbow that he's trying to manage," the paper said. Snee, 32, had to sit out the end of minicamp due to the elbow.

A four-time Pro Bowler, "Snee could last 16 games, 16 days or 16 minutes," the paper said. The offensive line will be a whole lot better if Snee is only 80 to 90 percent but can still line up next to second-year right tackle Justin Pugh, the paper said.

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer

Giants guard Chris Snee will attempt to go through the Giants offseason program once he's healthy, the New York Daily News reports. Snee had hip surgery last season and an elbow surgery earlier this year. There is no timeline for him to be at 100 percent but he is expected to be on the field for the "bulk" of offseason activities.

by Larry Hartstein |

The Giants asked center David Baas and guard Chris Snee to take pay cuts, reports Snee previously said he'd take less money to stay with the team, while Baas has not yet agreed, the report said.

Snee is a four-time Pro Bowler who carries an $11.3 million cap number. Baas has a cap figure of $8.225 million. Injuries limited each player to three games last season.
