| Balmer M.I.A. for Redskins: DE Kentwan Balmer remains missing. The Redskins still haven't heard from Balmer, who left training camp before Wednesday afternoon's practice. Coach Mike Shanahan said he has not yet heard from Balmer or his agent. The former first-round pick had similar issues while playing with San Francisco, eventually leading to a trade with Seattle. “You're just hoping he's OK,” Shanahan said. “He cleared everything out of the hotel and that usually means it's a guy who doesn't want to play football anymore. But that's not always the case. I hate to say something. All I know is we haven't had a chance to speak to him yet.” (Updated 8/3/12) |
