Rookie LB Connor out for season: Panthers rookie linebacker Dan Connor will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Connor will be placed on injured reserve after was injured in Sunday's loss to Minnesota and was carted to the locker room. A third-round pick from Penn State, Connor played on special teams in the first three games.

LB Dan Connor was back on the football field for the first time in more than six months. A third-round pick in 2008, Connor suffered a torn ACL in the preseason. With LB Jon Beason still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, Connor ran with the first-team defense at rookie minicamp. "It's just an unbelievable feeling just to put the helmet on," Connor said. "Now it's a matter of working out the kinks. But for six-and-a-half months I'm feeling pretty good." 57//2009
