Bengals lose stud CB for season: Bengals starting cornerback Johnathan Joseph will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. The team on Friday placed Joseph on injured reserve, the third defensive starter lost to injury this season after linebacker Keith Rivers and safety Dexter Jackson. Joseph missed two early games with the injury, but had played in six straight games before aggravating it Sunday against Philadelphia. He didn't play in Thursday night's loss at Pittsburgh. Second-year player David Jones takes over Joseph's starting spot.

Fantasy Analysis

Joseph was a low-end Fantasy DB, but was an important part of the Bengals pass defense, which ranked fairly high considering the sad state of their defense otherwise. He can safely be dropped from all Fantasy leagues while Jones is not expected to post any good stats. He will see a ton of passes start coming his way, though.

Without Carson Palmer, Cincy's couldn't move the ball in 2008. He'll be back, but Pete Prisco says the offense needs an additional boost, like a pass-catching tight end or an upgrade at running back or tackle.
