FS Oshiomogho Atogwe is scheduled for surgery this week on his injured shoulder. His rehab will be three-to-six months, although Atogwe joked, "It might take me two weeks." Atogwe said the decision to go on injured reserve and have surgery quickly was related to the chance of his shoulder dislocating again. "Just future planning," Atogwe said. "The injury was of the nature where I might have been able to play with it, but the likelihood of it reoccurring was high. That could hurt you down the road, so I had to take that into account. It definitely was a tough decision. You want to be out there every game that is scheduled to play. Just with the nature of the injury it was in my best interest to go and get the surgery so that going forward it wouldn't be something that would be a nagging injury." Asked if he expects to be with the Rams in 2010, Atogwe said, "I expect to be playing football next year. Like I said, you never know. They have to make decisions. I have to make decisions. The best case scenario might not be me here. It may be me here. You never know what's going to happen. I don't have any expectations at this point except that I will be playing football next year.
