Fasano wants to start: Anthony Fasano has a fan in Dolphins team president Bill Parcells. Despite the presence of Pro Bowl TE Jason Witten, Parcells used a second-round pick to select Fasano in the 2006 draft in Dallas. When Parcells took over the Dolphins' front office, he and GM Jeff Ireland brokered a trade with the Cowboys that brought Fasano and inside linebacker Akin Ayodele to the Dolphins for a fourth-round pick. "I was really excited about the trade. It's a great opportunity for me personally," said Fasano, who caught 14 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown last season, in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "I'm trying to provide that every-down tight end. Try to create mismatches when they line linebackers and safeties up against me. If I can do that, I think it'll be a big advantage for our offense." Fasano is confident he can put up numbers similar to Witten's if given the opportunity. If he does, it would trump the 538 total yards returning tight ends David Martin, Justin Peelle and Aaron Halterman put together last season on 64 receptions.

Fantasy Analysis
Look for Fasano to start for the Dolphins. He has more upside for Fantasy owners than Martin or Peelle, and Halterman will only see time on special teams. Don't draft the other tight ends in any leagues, but Fasano is worth a late-round pick in deeper formats as a No. 2 Fantasy TE
