| Unga exused from the team: The Chicago Sun-Times reports Wednesday that the Bears will receive a roster exemption on RB Harvey Unga, who was excused from the team for personal reasons. He has competed for a backup RB spot with Kahlil Bell since the lockout was lifted. (Updated 09/01/2011) |

| Unga finished his rookie season on the IR, and he has impressed in limited exposure thus far. The team is mum on why he is away, but the exemption allows for the team to re-evaluate the situation once he returns. He is not guaranteed a roster spot once he is back, but he is still a Bear for now although the team has to cut down to the final 53 by Saturday. Unga has limited Fantasy value even if he makes the team considering Matt Forte and Marion Barber will be ahead of him in the pecking order, so he warrants no value for now. (Updated 09/01/2011). |
