| Lions re-sign K. Smith: Kevin Smith saved the Lions' run game for a few weeks in 2011, helping them throw off defenses expecting them to pass. In return, the Lions re-signed him to add depth to their run game for 2012. He agreed to a one-year deal. In seven games (four starts), Smith had 72 carries for 356 yards and four touchdowns plus 22 receptions for 179 yards and three scores. (Updated 03/27/2012) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Smith was successful last season because once he got on the field, he didn't share much. But he also got banged up in short order, which has been commonplace for him since his second year in the league, not to mention the reason why he wasn't in the league at the start of last season. And when he arrives at Lions camp, he'll have company in Jahvid Best and Mikel Leshoure, both of whom were sidelined once he got in the fold last season. We could see Smith begin camp third on the Lions' depth chart and only be worth a late pick in deeper drafts. (Updated 03/27/2012). |
