by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

As expected, Bengals wide receiver Andrew Hawkins was ruled inactive for Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys as he continues to nurse an ankle injury, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Hawkins will remove the cast on his ankle this week, but is expected to remain in a walking boot for at least two weeks.

The following players were inactive for Saturday's game: quarterback Zac Robinson, defensive back Brandon Ghee, running back Bernard Scott, fullback Chris Pressley, safety George Iloka, linebackers Brandon Joiner and Sean Porter, offensive linemen Andrew Whitworth and Otis Hudson and defensive end Carlos Dunlap.

Bengals have one guy for No. 2 quarterback spot
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer

The Bengals will likely go with Josh Johnson as the No. 2 quarterback this season behind Andy Dalton, the team's official website reports.

Johnson will face competition from John Skelton and Zac Robinson, but it's his job to lose. The report says Johnson is "the crop's best runner, he can throw it deep and he knows the system."

Since Dalton has taken over as the starter, the Bengals have carried just two quarterback on the roster.
