| Finley gets two-year deal : Tight end Jermichael Finley says he has agreed to a new deal with the Packers, reportedly a two-year deal worth $15 million. Finley posted on Twitter Wednesday night confirming reports that he has agreed to return to the team. Finley wrote, "I could not be happier to have the privilege of being a Packer for the next 2 yrs. Glad to be back with my team & coaches for 1 common goal." Finley was set to become a free agent, and the team was expected to consider using the franchise tag on him. Packers officials did not immediately confirm terms of the deal. (Updated 02/23/2012) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Finley posted career-best numbers in 2011, catching 55 passes for 767 yards. He also caught eight touchdowns from Aaron Rodgers, finishing as a Top 5 tight end. Still, expectations were and still are high for Finley, who is a matchup nightmare for defenses. He's a key target for Rodgers but not the only target -- the rise of Jordy Nelson in 2011 surely took some stats off of Finley's plate. Only four times in 2011 did he have 10 or more Fantasy points in a game. So Finley is an attractive No. 1 tight end who can be had between Rounds 5 and 6 in drafts this summer, but he might deliver some inconsistent stats. (Updated 02/23/2012). |
