Shonn Greene ran it for 135 yards and Mark Sanchez made some timely throws and no mistakes. The latter was the key to the game. Carson Palmer struggled early on. The Bengals didn't do enough throwing the football until it was too late.
 
Judgements
Let's hear it for Mark Sanchez, not only for winning a playoff game but for getting in the last word on his former USC coach. Asked what he thought about Carroll jumping to the NFL, Sanchez said, "I just want everybody to know I completely disagree with his decision. Statistics show that it's not a good choice." Touché.

Jets RB Shonn Greene Shonn Greene led the Jets' rushing attack as the third-round pick rushed for 135 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown.
New york Jets CB Darrelle Revis Darrelle Revis proved that the Week 17 performance was no fluke as he held Chad Ochocinco to 28 receiving yards and also made an interception.
Bengals
Bengals RB Cedric Benson Cedric Benson made a huge impact in this game after missing Week 17 against the Jets.
Bengals WR Laveranues Coles Laveranues Coles was the only bright spot in the Bengals' passing game and he led the team's receivers with 48 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets fan: As a Jets fan, I thought the team did a good job against the pass, as usual. Not to mention, Carson Palmer played poorly, and was overthrowing the ball. He and his receivers definitely weren't on the same page. I~Rm slightly worried after watching the run defense, though. Benson gashed them for 169 yards. They've been doing a great job for most of the season, even without Kris Jenkins, but I hope they can stop LaDainian Tomlinson next week.

Czigan: The Bengals fans cried when they had no players voted into the Pro Bowl, and then the team went out and got their jock straps handed to them in consecutive victories by the Wild Card Jets. Well, it appears to me that they got the representation in the Pro Bowl that they earned... and that was a big fat ZERO. If you want to talk the walk, your team better walk the talk. And they sure as heck left their game plan in the locker room. Well good luck next year, Bengals. Remember, though, that Cleveland won their last five games in 2009, the Ravens are HOT, and the Steelers will have Troy back. Ouch. See you next year.
