Shoulder injury keeps Browns' Winslow out of another practice

BEREA, Ohio -- Kellen Winslow missed his second consecutive practice Thursday with a partially dislocated left shoulder, and Browns coach Romeo Crennel indicated team doctors will decide if the tight end plays against Baltimore.

Winslow was injured while making a catch in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss at Oakland. He landed hard on his shoulder, suffering a subluxation -- or separation.

"He's working to try to get that soreness out of the shoulder and try to give himself a chance to play," Crennel said.

Winslow, who sat out the final three plays against the Raiders as trainers worked on his injury, played most of last season with a knee injury which required off-season microfracture surgery.

The Browns will be cautious with the fourth-year star, who tied a franchise record with 89 receptions last season. Crennel said it was too early to say if the 24-year-old would be ready for Sunday's game with the Ravens.

"Kellen will do everything he can to be there on Sunday," Crennel said. "Now, some of it, not all of it, is in his hands because the medical people will look at him and they will make a determination. Whatever the doctor says, that is what is going to happen."

Winslow was not available for interviews while the Browns' locker room was open to the media.
