Preparation BGHH might cause tight lips, focus and coach-speak

When Belichick spoke to the players this week he told them three main things, among others. Said Rivers: "He said do your job, study, know your opponent. He didn't have to say much else. He doesn't have to. It's pretty simple. It's what we do every week."

Tom Brady met with the media and Brady can be as brilliant off the field as he is on it. He was effusive in his praise of Peyton Manning and even complimented Manning's thespian skills: "He's a great actor. He can do it all."

When asked which Patriot failing to receive a lot of media attention would end up being a significant factor in the game, Brady joked, "Randy Moss?"

Then there was this gem. It was perhaps the only piece of real insight you got all day. Brady was describing how well Belichick prepares the players and explained: "I've been playing for him for eight years and he's never wrong."

Belichick is anything if consistent. He's consistently brilliant as a coach and consistently, purposely boring. He met the media wearing his now trademark hoodie, cut off shorts and white shoes that were unlaced.

Belichick's press conferences are like watching paint dry ... while you simultaneously sniff glue and do some serious drugs. They're surreal.

"We're just trying to win games," he says a lot.

"Just trying to improve the team," he says almost as much.

He can be the master of the three- and four-word answer.

The Biggest Game in the History of History -- Patriots style.

The hype is already Kong-sized and the game is still many days away.
