Texans place Robinson on IR, sign Cox

HOUSTON (AP) -The Houston Texans placed cornerback Dunta Robinson on the injured reserve and signed safety Curome Cox on Tuesday.

Robinson tore his right anterior cruciate ligament and injured his hamstring making a tackle against Oakland.

Cox was released by Denver by Nov. 6 after playing for the Broncos since 2005. He appeared in seven games this season and had seven tackles and a fumble recovery.

Cox has 53 tackles and two interceptions in his three-year NFL career.
