Chiefs' Croyle hurt after interception, replaced by Huard

Presented by Epson

DETROIT -- Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle injured his right hand in the second quarter at Detroit and was replaced by Damon Huard.

Croyle was hurt when he lunged at Lions cornerback Travis Fisher, who was blocking for linebacker Paris Lenon as he returned an interception for a touchdown that put Detroit ahead 19-0.

Huard hadn't played since Week 11.

The Chiefs needed Huard to stay healthy because they didn't have a third quarterback active.
