MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" was to be back in court Thursday to face old charges there because of his plea deal in a separate case in Las Vegas.
Jones was scheduled to appear before General Sessions Judge David Loughry on Thursday morning in Rutherford County on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct from August 2006.
Loughry approved a deal in January 2007 that would have dismissed the charges if Jones stayed out of trouble for six months. But Las Vegas police named Jones as the person who incited a fight inside a strip club Feb. 19 that led to a triple shooting that left one man paralyzed.
Tennessee prosecutors argued in July that Jones being charged was enough to show that the cornerback did not follow his plea agreement here for "good and lawful" behavior.
The district attorney asked Loughry to reinstate the charges. The judge agreed but decided July 5 to postpone the case because he wanted to see how the two felony charges of coercion in Las Vegas were handled first.
Jones pleaded no contest Dec. 6 to conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct in Las Vegas in a plea deal reducing the two felony charges.
The cornerback was arrested Aug. 25, 2006, outside a nightclub in the Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro. Police said Jones got into an argument with a woman, refused to leave the club and shouted profanities at officers.
The Las Vegas case resulted in the sixth arrest for Jones since the Titans drafted him with the sixth pick overall in 2005. The NFL suspended Jones in April 2007 for the season because of his off-field conduct and will review his status after the Pro Bowl.
Jones still has a felony charge of obstruction in Georgia from a February 2006 encounter with a police officer pending, a charge that has been postponed several times.
