Eagles DE Clemons back at practice after dehydration scare

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Clemons returned to practice Thursday, two days after he was hospitalized for dehydration.

"He did a good job," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "He looked like he was moving around well. I heard him talking a few times, which is always a good sign because he wasn't talking a lot the other day."

Clemons was helped off the field at Lehigh University about two hours into the team's Tuesday morning practice. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in an ambulance, but never lost consciousness. He returned to the training facility later Tuesday.

The fifth-year veteran admitted he shouldn't have tried to push himself after initially feeling fatigued.

"Sometimes you have to take a look at yourself and listen to your body and that's something I probably didn't do and I have to do a better job of," Clemons said. "Once I got to the hospital, I was fine."

Clemons signed a five-year contract with the Eagles in the offseason and will be used as a situational pass rusher.
