 Prisco Analysis | What happened is the Patriots got whipped. The Dolphins ran it on them and played great defense. The Patriots don't have the firepower without Tom Brady when they fall behind. We might see more of this. | The move to Frerotte was a good one, but let's see when they head out on the road. The defense won this game.They smothered the Panthers. The offense was better, but we'll see. | The way that defense is playing, maybe so. They make plays when they need them, like Cortland Finnegan's 99-yard touchdown return for a score with 1:03 left against the Texans. The Ttians are good, but they need to get better on offense to be considered elite. | It has to be Ronnie Brown. Coming off major knee issues nobody saw this coming. He was explosive agaisnt the Pats, getting four rushing touchdowns. |
 Judge Analysis | I dunno, but it looks like they were -- sorry, Bill -- outcoached. Trick plays, halfback options, direct hits. I don't fault Matt Cassel; the Pats couldn't figure out where Ronnie Brown was. | I'm buying, but I'd be careful. They have to play at Tennessee next weekend, and it's never easy for anyone to win there. Then, it's New Orleans. Uh-oh. | -- I'm not there yet. I know they're undefeated, but they knocked off teams that were winless entering Sunday. I like their defense; not sold on Kerry Collins/Vince Young. | How could you miss Ronnie Brown?  Richard Analysis | The Dolphins decided to turn Ronnie Brown loose, and the Patriots decided to turn Matt Cassel loose. One played great, one played awful. | Selling. With Gus Frerotte at quarterback, an injured Adrian Peterson at running back and a division with Green Bay looking like superstars, it's hard to consider them a playoff team at 1-2 | They're 3-0. Let's see how their division is after a couple of weeks first. | Uh, did you see Ronnie Brown figuratively de-pants the Patriots defense with the same play three separate times?! Guess that knee is OK. |
 Kay Analysis | You know when coaches say the second-most important player on a team is the backup QB? The Patriots didn't buy that idea, and now it's biting them in the ass. Of course, when Ronnie Brown looks like Jim Brown it wouldn't have mattered anyway. | Ah, the soothing powers of Gus Frerotte. Remember when he lead the Redskins, er, the Broncos, er, the Dolphins to the playoffs? Probably not. BUT, if he wins at Tennessee next week... | ... would mean the Vikings beat an "elite" team. This team has defense. It has special teams and it has a surprisingly electric offense with that running attack. I mean, Collins got a big game out of McCareins. | Brandon Lloyd is a legitimate option in Chicago. Say it again, Brandon Lloyd is a serious football player. Ronnie Brown may be the next LT, but the fact Kyle Orton is getting something out of Lloyd is amazing. |
