NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee deactivated receiver Justin Gage because of a groin injury and started Brandon Jones in his place Sunday against Houston. The Texans sat out Ahman Green with a knee injury, giving rookie Steve Slaton his first NFL start.

Green had been listed as doubtful for the Texans' first game since Sept. 7. Slaton was the 89th pick overall by Houston out of West Virginia. The Texans also deactivated starting nose tackle Travis Johnson (knee), along with tight end Mark Bruener. Jeff Zgonina was starting in Johnson's place.

The Titans also listed Vince Young, who had been reported as out for this game on Friday, as their third quarterback. He is recovering from a sprained left knee and a hamstring injury, but coach Jeff Fisher has made Kerry Collins his starter.
