Collins becomes 15th passer with 35,000 career passing yards

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Kerry Collins completed a 17-yard pass to Justin McCareins in the second quarter Sunday, making the Titans quarterback the 15th in NFL history with 35,000 yards passing in his career.

The 14-year veteran came into Sunday's game with Houston needing only 90 yards to reach 35,000. He got it on his ninth completion in 13 attempts with the pass to McCareins giving him 104 yards.

Collins already ranked 15th all-time among quarterbacks in career yards passing, trailing Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly (35,467). He had thrown for 193 yards this season.

Among active quarterbacks going into Sunday's games Collins trails Brett Favre (62,030) and Peyton Manning (42,194).
