Titans' blue-collar approach helping rack up wins

Defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch missed his second straight game with a groin injury. Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was limited to about 20 plays because of illness, and cornerback Nick Harper hurt an ankle early. Dave Ball had a sack, a quarterback hit and three tackles, and cornerback Eric King broke up two passes.

Receiver Justin McCareins suffered a concussion, so rookie Lavelle Hawkins caught two passes, with Brandon Jones coming through with a career-high eight receptions.

"We have a tough crowd in the locker room, so you're kind of forced to be tough," said Bulluck, who set his own example by taking a painkiller as he started his 106th straight game despite a rib injury and led the Titans with 10 tackles.

The Titans watched the Bears stack the line with extra defenders to stop a rushing offense that had been averaging 149.1 yards per game and ran for 20 yards net.

Fisher said he isn't worried about his run game. He is pleased with how his Titans finished off a tough game on the road for a franchise record sixth straight victory away from home.

"It was a good win for us. We're clearly on our next opponent," Fisher said.
