Mawae inactive, Harris gets start at center for Titans vs. Ravens

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans deactivated All-Pro center Kevin Mawae as expected Saturday for their AFC divisional playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens, giving second-year lineman Leroy Harris his second career start and first in the postseason.

The Titans on Friday declared Mawae out because of an injured right elbow that has kept him from practicing since Dec. 21, when he hurt his arm in a win against Pittsburgh. The Titans also deactivated defensive end Dave Ball as expected, with end Kyle Vanden Bosch starting his first game since Dec. 7 because of an injured groin that required minor surgery Dec. 16.

All-Pro defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth also started, his first since spraining his left knee at the end of a loss in Houston on Dec. 14.

The Titans also deactivated receivers Chris Davis and Lavelle Hawkins, fullback Casey Cramer, running back Chris Henry and cornerback Tyrone Poole, with Chris Simms the third quarterback.

Baltimore already had declared linebacker Antwan Barnes out with a chest injury. The Ravens sat cornerback Evan Oglesby, running back Jalen Parmele, linebacker Robert McCune, offensive tackle Oniel Cousins, offensive lineman David Hale and receiver Terrance Copper.
