New England WRs Moss, Welker questionable for Sunday

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Receivers Randy Moss and Wes Welker could be sidelined forNew England's game Sunday against Atlanta.

Welker and Moss were listed as questionable after they missed practice Friday.

Welker had limited participation in Thursday's practice and was present for the start of practice Friday for stretching and kickoff return drills. He didn't take part in team drills. Welker missed last Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Jets with a right knee injury and is expected to be a game-time decision.

Welker had 12 catches for 93 yards in the season-opening win over the Buffalo Bills.

Sunday: Falcons at Patriots, 1 p.m. ET

Moss also was present for the start of practice Friday, but didn't participate in team drills due to a back injury. He was added to the Patriots' injury report Friday.

Rookie Julian Edelman, a former quarterback at Kent State, filled in for Welker and caught eight balls for 98 yards against the Jets, but he is also listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

Also questionable for Sunday's game are tight end Chris Baker, cornerback Darius Butler, center Dan Connolly, safety Brandon Meriweather, defensive lineman Myron Pryor, wide receiver Matthew Slater, defensive back Shawn Springs and cornerback Terrence Wheatley. All saw limited participation in practice Friday.

Quarterback Tom Brady is probable with a right shoulder injury and had full participation in practice Friday.

Where have you all been for the past 10 years?  Belicheck gives out less information about his injured players than the DOD gives out about their nuclear missile launch codes.  Brady rarely comes off the injury report, and neither does any other player who sustains even a minor injury.  For them to have even half the team on the injury report is not a surprise.  Wait until 90% ...(more)

This adds two names below Brady's for a weekly list that means nothing because theres a 99% chance they are showing up on the field?

I don't care for The Patriots, but I have to admit I love how they screw with the media.

Looking at the Patriots injury report makes a person wonder if they even have enough players left to suit up and play the game! Geesh, every year I think this team is finally going to get a chance to see what it would be like to play with nearly everyone healthy then like clock work half the team is on crutches and hospital beds.

Well, he was a primadonna in Viking land, he chose to not even play for the Raiders, and now, it looks like he won't get the fantasy stats he wants out of Tom Brady this year either.

Questionable because he missed practice on Friday?  Is he starting his usu

Sports fans everywhere are asking “Why” are so many big name NFL players, from so-called "tough guys" who usually play hurt (Urlacher; Palamalo; etc) to the league’s “skilled” superstars (Brady McNabb, Moss) and so many more are all getting hurt in just the FIRST TWO games?  I really didn’t no ...(more)

with all these players possibly down for the pats this weekend if the Falcons win it'll have an asterisk i'd rather lose with there star players then win without them. that way at least you know what to work on and don't know that you just got lucky.
