KC promotes Long, releases Lawrence

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -The Kansas City Chiefs have promoted receiver Lance Long to the 53-man roster and released receiver Quinten Lawrence.

Long signed with the Chiefs' practice squad on Sept. 16 after spending the 2008 season on Arizona's practice squad. He was in uniform Sunday against San Diego.

Lawrence played two games with Kansas City this season, rushing once for 16 yards and returning one kickoff 17 yards.
