Ankle will keep Ravens DT Ngata on sidelines vs. Bengals

CINCINNATI -- Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata is missing a game for the first time this season because of a sprained left ankle.

Ngata was inactive against the Bengals on Sunday, leaving Baltimore without one of its main run stoppers. He was replaced by Justin Bannan, who started 15 games last season.

Ngata hurt his ankle during a 30-7 win over Denver last Sunday and didn't practice this week, prompting him to be listed as questionable.

The Bengals were without safety Roy Williams, who missed his third straight game with an injured forearm. Chinedum Ndukwe started in his place again.

First-round draft pick Andre Smith was listed as inactive again after practicing fully with the team last week. Smith broke his left foot during preseason and hasn't played in a game.
