Bears' Harris ejected for punching Cardinals lineman Lutui

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris was ejected from Sunday's game against Arizona after just 65 seconds of play for slugging Cardinals offensive tackle Deuce Lutui.

At the end of an Arizona running play, Harris and Lutui ended up on the ground and a replay showed Harris hitting Lutui near the face.

The Bears got a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and Harris got a quick shower after referee Ed Hochuli announced he had slugged Lutui and was ejected.

beginning of the end?

with all the grumblings that have recently come surrounding Tommie Harris, is this the beginning of the end? he will most certaintly be suspended for atleast a couple of games. he has a big contract and it looks like the Bears need to reorganize both lines this ...(more)

Punching should = Suspension

This conduct makes no sense....I can understand some personal fouls because they can be judgement calls or just hard play. However, deliberately puching someone in the face o the field where there are cameras all over the place. Get his stupid arse out of the game for a while. 2 game suspension. 1 game for being stupid enough to throw a punch on live TV and 2nd game for throwing a punch.
