Bears' Cutler, Harris fined for conduct during loss to Cardinals

CHICAGO -- A bad season for the Chicago Bears just got worse.

The NFL said Friday that quarterback Jay Cutler was fined $20,000 for abusive conduct toward a game official during a 41-21 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.

The fine came one day after Cutler threw five interceptions during a 10-6 loss at San Francisco. Cutler has thrown an NFL-worst 17 interceptions this season for the Bears (4-5), who have lost four of five.

The NFL also said defensive lineman Tommie Harris was fined $7,500 for punching Cardinals offensive lineman Deuce Lutui on the fourth play from scrimmage. Harris was ejected and later apologized.

You'll just end with the moron somewhere else, hence, poor Chicago.  I never had anything against the Bears, in fact always kind of liked them, but now I have to root against them every week, and quite frankly, it's been working out very well.

Poor little boo boo had a bad game ( another bad game ) and he ye

These players make enough money that some of it should be taken back and given to charities....

Besides, they should fine Jay Cutler every game until he has the first smart idea in his life and retires.

Argue with the refs will cost you 20,000, punch a guy in the face when they are on the ground gets you $7,500. Interesting logic.

Harris OPENLY raises his fist and punches an opponent in clear view of the referee and camera and gets a $7,500 fine.  Ocho Cinco (never been a big fan of his, but he does amuse me) has no malicious intent with his $1 antic and gets fined 20 dimes.  I reali

So Ochocinco gets a $20k fine for jokingly waving a $1 bill in front of a ref in front of everyone, Cutler talks a little trash to an official gets fined $20k, but Harris takes a cheap shot and PUNCHES another player and only gets fined $7500?  WTF**** kind of message are they trying to send?  You can't joke around but it's okay ...(more)

Remember Bears fans, this is what you asked for!  You are finding out the hard way that Cutler is an overgrown baby with an overgrown sense of himself.  I have noting against you Chicago, but please, no whining about what he does on or off the field.  Fines and the amounts are always debateable, but poor attitude and poor beh ...(more)
