Saints QB Brees sets franchise record for TD passes

  •

NEW ORLEANS -- Drew Brees has set a record for touchdown passes by a Saints quarterback.

Brees hit Lance Moore for a 7-yard score against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night, giving him 121 scoring passes since he joined New Orleans as a free agent in 2006. The pass also pulled the Saints within one score at 24-17 with eight minutes left in the game.

The record was held by Aaron Brooks, who threw 120 TDs from 2000-2005.

Brees has 33 touchdown passes this season for New Orleans, which entered its game against the Cowboys at 13-0.
