Britt entered Sunday's game against the Broncos as the AFC's leading receiver but left on a cart after he caught three passes for 18 yards. Britt caught a bubble screen and dodged a tackler, but in doing so twisted his knee and fell to the turf in a heap, losing the ball in the process.
Britt had 14 catches for 271 yards and three touchdowns in just over two games.
The Titans are likely to lean on veteran vertical threat Nate Washington while asking more of Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins. The injury is a major hindrance for an offense that has been decidedly pass-first as running back Chris Johnson has rushed for just 98 yards in his first three games.
Subtracting Britt, the team's top downfield target and red-zone option, only adds to the focus of opposing defenses geared to stop Johnson and the Titans' ground game.
