Jets' Ryan disappointed but still talking big

  •

NEW YORK (AP) - Rex Ryan says his Jets had a "horrible performance" against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the team was putting a 45-19 loss behind them and preparing for the rival Giants.

Ryan says there's plenty the Jets (8-6) need to do to reach the postseason, but the bold coach isn't backing off big talk leading up to Saturday's showdown that has massive playoff implications for both teams. They each need wins to keep pace in the playoff hunt.

While he respects Tom Coughlin "immensely," Ryan says he never came to New York "to be a little brother to anybody, so, it's on."

Ryan says the Jets have been the best of the New York-area teams lately, and adds that while the Giants (7-7) are an "excellent" team, "I think we're better."
