Broncos, Woodyard have two-year deal

The Sports Xchange

Wesley Woodyard agreed to a two-year deal with the Broncos on Monday, but the deal wasn't officially signed as the team worked out the contract language with representatives for quarterback Peyton Manning.

Woodyard, an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky in 2008, has played in at least 15 games in three of his four NFL seasons. He was a team captain the last two years and had 97 total tackles in 2011.

Woodyard is the team's leader in special teams tackles since 2008.

He has started nine of 43 career games.
