Vince Young said he still believes he's a starting quarterback. Given the level of inactivity from potential suitors, that's not a unanimous opinion.
Young, an unrestricted free agent, is scheduled to work out for general manager Buddy Nix and the Bills' brass on Wednesday. Coach Chan Gailey's success with mobile quarterbacks who might lack a complete, prototypical passing quarterback's skill set, is likely to be a factor considered when the Bills weigh offering Young a deal.
There is room on the roster for Young from a numbers standpoint, but he admittedly had emotional problems in Tennessee and the Bills are certain to check that baggage. Undrafted free agent quarterback Aaron Corp is currently the No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart in Buffalo, but Brad Smith, who played wide receiver in his first season with the Bills, is listed as the team's No. 2 quarterback ahead of Tyler Thigpen.
Young was the third overall pick in the 2006 draft and spent last season with the Eagles after playing five seasons with the Titans.
The Bills are seeking competition for Thigpen behind Ryan Fitzpatrick.
