ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bills running back Travis Henry could miss the rest of the season because of a lower
right leg injury.
Coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday tests showed no break to Henry's
bone. But he declined to give more details and said Henry is out
indefinitely.
Henry, who will miss Sunday's game at Miami, was not available for
comment Wednesday and was not at the start of practice.
Buffalo (5-6) has five games left, and remains on the fringe of the AFC
playoff race.
Henry, who lost his starting job to Willis McGahee in October, was hurt
four plays into the opening drive of Buffalo's 38-9 win at Seattle on
Sunday. Linebacker Isaiah Kacyvenski tackled Henry and rolled up on his
leg following a 5-yard reception.
Cornerback Troy Vincent practiced Wednesday for the first time since
missing eight games with a right knee injury. He's listed as
questionable to play.
Receiver Josh Reed is also questionable, having missed four games with a
bruised left knee. Left tackle Jonas Jennings, who hurt his left
shoulder on Sunday, was held out of practice as a precaution. Mularkey
expects Jennings to resume practicing Thursday.
For Henry, it's the same leg he hurt in Week 11 of last season, when he
suffered a hairline break just above his ankle. Henry never missed a
game and had his second consecutive 1,300-yard rushing season.
Henry ranks second on the team this season with 326 yards rushing, but
he's been used sparingly, rushing for just 37 yards in the last five
games since losing his job.
