Bush Journal: Final preseason game
I'm in Kansas City this week. We play the Chiefs in the final preseason game. Honestly, I'm not going to play a lot -- probably just a series. For me it's just about being efficient and getting the job done and not making any mistakes.

The preseason games are a different mentality. It's not like college, where there is no preseason and we tried to win them all. Preseason is a time for learning and getting back in the groove. It's a time to get in football mode and a chance for the younger guys to get experience and what the NFL is all about.
The only problem is I think its way too long. Four games is a long time and drags the season out. I know it has been that way for a while, but two games are all you need.
I'll get to see Larry Johnson on the other side of the field Thursday. He's a good back, big and powerful and taking full advantage of his opportunity. I remember when he played at Penn State, he's a playmaker.
I haven't been told how many touches I might get during the regular season, but I am a ballplayer so I’d like to touch the ball quite a bit. I expect to play well and hopefully help get the Saints to the playoffs.
People ask if Deuce McAllister and I have a friendly rivalry. Subconsciously we have a friendly rivalry. However, we aren't competing against each other; we are trying to help each other.
Madden 2007 came out last week. I had it sent to me, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. It's kind of crazy to play as yourself in the game. I grew up playing Madden and College Football and now I get a chance to play as myself. It's surreal.
