Chiefs play Raiders minus TE Gonzalez, LB Johnson, G Waters
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Chiefs Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez missed his first start since 1999 on Sunday against the Raiders.
Gonzalez was declared inactive before the game.
The Chiefs' leading receiver injured his shoulder last week at Miami. He was joined on the inactive list by Pro Bowl left guard Brian Waters, starting right tackle Kevin Sampson and starting linebacker Derrick Johnson.
Oakland had eight on the inactive list, including starting guard Barry Sims. Other inactive players for the Raiders included wide receiver Johnnie Morant, cornerback Duane Starks and defensive end Kevin Huntley.
