In time, Gronkowski could become the all-time best NFL tight end. (US Presswire)
Why he's in this spot: Did you watch him dominate defenses? In his second season, Gronkowski caught 90 passes and had 17 touchdown catches, which is the most by an NFL tight end. At 6-6, 265 pounds, he has the speed to get deep and beat linebackers and he's too big for safeties. He is a tough cover for any defense. He is also a willing blocker when he's lined up tight.

2012 number that stands out: He had 22 pass plays of 20 yards or more, amazing for a tight end his size.

Strengths: He is powerful yet has the speed to create mismatch problems down the field. He can line up tight or split out wide. He has good speed, great for his size, and he also has the ability to shield that big body away from a defender.

Weaknesses: The only one might be his off-the-field focus, but he's a young, single guy. Besides, who cares if he plays like he did last season?

Stock up or down: Up, up, up. Tight ends with his ability at his age are rare. He might end up as the all-time best.

Did you know: Gronkowski has two brothers who also have played in the NFL, Dan and Chris.
