Will Randy Moss make 60 catches in 2012?

After seeing the 49ers live, I just don't think they pass it well enough or often enough. This is a run-first team. I see Moss maybe with 40-50 catches for 700 yards, something like that. I also have to caution that this is a player who hasn't done a thing basically for two years. Don't get caught up in the name. | Under |

Moss hasn't played in a year, and when he did play in 2010 he was little more than a stiff, finishing the season on the bench. The 49ers like his practice habits, but that won't put him in the starting lineup. | Under |

Way under. The question is will Moss get 30 catches before he wrecks the locker room? It doesn't matter how good a coach Jim Harbaugh is -- and he's very good -- no one has been able to motivate Moss for an entire season. That won't change. | Under |

He is their top WR and is in sick shape. He's ready to roll. As long as Alex Smith can get him the football, Moss will be a key cog for the 49ers attack. He will be their top producer (besides tight end Vernon Davis) and I bet is in position to parlay it into a bigger deal next year. | Over |

Moss will be a factor in San Francisco, but this is mostly a running offense. The primary receiver will be TE Vernon Davis and the distribution of passes will also include Michael Crabtree and Mario Manningham. It is possible Moss will catch close to 10 touchdowns mostly from the red zone, but 60 receptions are tough for a guy his age. | Under |
Will Brinson![]() |
60? Seriously? How about 16? I'd be stunned if Moss goes over 60, primarily because the Niners only had 277 receptions as a team in 2011. 72 went to Michael Crabtree and 60 went to Vernon Davis. If San Francisco starts winging it, they're in trouble. | Under |

Maybe at one time, Moss was one of the top two receivers on this team. He'll be lucky to be ON the team at the end of the season. Either his attitude will alienate 49ers management, or he'll be exposed as the old receiver that he has become. And if you expect Moss to become the deep threat he was, remember that Alex Smith is his quarterback. | Under |

Moss has a history of taking plays off and if the the 49ers' offensive line struggles to keep Alex Smith upright, there won't be a ton of opportunities to throw deep, which is where Moss is most dangerous. | Under |
