Ross has yet to play this season because of a hamstring injury and there is no telling when he might return. He is about the only inactive Fantasy player with some value when active. Most of the other players are reserves and barely factor. Keep them reserved for Week 9.

Smith had his first touchdown in five games in Week 9. It's pretty obvious to see who quarterback Eli Manning favors in the passing game. Smith hasn't been as effective lately as he was earlier in the season. But he is still a solid No. 2 Fantasy WR. The Giants don't play again until Week 11 against the Falcons (bye in Week 10).

Appropriately, the game ended with Shawne Merriman sacking Manning. San Diego drafted the linebacker in 2005 with one of the picks the Chargers got from the Giants in the Manning deal. Manning and the Giants should have had the last laugh in Week 9, but they made a lot of crucial mistakes late in the game. Manning didn't throw an interception for the first time in four games and also had his first multi-touchdown performance in four games. The Giants have a balanced offense, so we won't see a lot of eye-popping numbers from Manning, who is usually a No. 2 Fantasy QB. The Giants don't play again until Week 11 against the Falcons as they are on a bye in Week 10.

Boss was knocked out of the game in Week 9 for a few plays after getting his bell rung in the second quarter. But he returned and the touchdown pretty much did away with any speculation about lingering effects. The Giants are on a bye in Week 10, so Boss gets some time to rest up. Consider him a low-end No. 1/high-end No. 2 Fantasy TE in Week 11 against the Falcons.

Umenyiora hasn't been as good of a playmaker as before his knee injury. He has shown glimpses of his potential in 2009, but we are still a little disappointed with his production. You still could do a lot worse in Fantasy, so Umenyiora remains a decent start in IDP leagues.

Jacobs sat on the sidelines for a few play after coming up gimpy in the second half. He had his knee checked out, but eventually returned. Jacobs does get dinged up at times, but it seems he dodged a serious injury and the bye comes at an ideal time. We have been disappointed with Jacobs' performance in 2009. He definitely wants the ball more, but New York likes to throw Ahmad Bradshaw in there as well. Consider Jacobs a No. 2 Fantasy RB in Week 11 when New York returns to action.

It was tough to see Bradshaw average less than 3.0 yards per carry against San Diego since he came into the game averaging 5.3 yards on the season. His performance has really tanked the last few weeks as a nagging ankle/foot injury continues to hobble him. Bradshaw is going to play through the injury and will get extra time to rest during the bye in Week 10. But he is still more of a No. 3 Fantasy RB or flex option when New York returns to action in Week 11 against the Falcons.
