10/02/16CBJustin BethelFOOTQUESTIONABLEBethel (foot) practiced in full Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Bethel has endured a slow recovery from offseason foot surgery, which is expected to impact him throughout the campaign. Active status in Week 1 equated to 22 snaps on special teams and none on defense, but perhaps Wednesday's full showing will open the door to work in the defensive backfield. After rookie corner Brandon Williams was torched by the Patriots on Sunday, Bethel is the prime candidate to make a run at the starting job opposite Patrick Peterson, pending his health, of course.

10/02/16STyvon BranchGROINQUESTIONABLEBranch secured 10 tackles (nine solo) and one pass defended during Sunday's victory against the Buccaneers.

An offseason signee of the Cardinals, Branch has so far logged 78 percent of the defensive snaps, which ranks fourth among fellow defensive backs, while also picking up 61 percent on special teams. The multi-faceted defender should continue to receive plenty of run in a scheme that uses six DBs frequently and occasionally seven. Considering the usage and his veteran savvy, it's no surprise that he boasts the second-most tackles (16) on the team behind starting strong safety Tony Jefferson.

10/02/16PDrew ButlerLEFT CALFOUTButler (ankle) did not participate at Wednesday's practice and is considered doubtful for Sunday's contest against the Rams, Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 reports.

Butler was seen in a walking boot at Wednesday's practice, and while he may hold snaps for Chandler Catanzaro on Sunday, the chances of him punting against the Rams seem slim. If Butler sits, the Cardinals will need to look elsewhere to delegate punting responsibilities.

10/02/16LBKareem MartinKNEEQUESTIONABLEMartin (knee) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bills, Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports reports.

Martin's status for Week 3 doesn't look too promising as he continues to deal with the nagging knee issue. Alex Okafor figures to be the primary backup at outside linebacker if Martin remains out.

10/02/16DTFrostee RuckerKNEEOUTRucker (knee) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports reports.

Rucker wasn't able to practice throughout the week as his status for Sunday's matchup doesn't look good. In his potential absence, Rodney Gunter figures to get the start at defensive end.
